Not only it is available with many of the top active safety features available today, but it also earns high scores in NHTSA and IIHS crash tests. As for the MDX A-Spec, which is new for this 2019 model year, it’s purely a styling exercise. It's spacious and loaded with technology, but it has a below-average predicted reliability rating, and some rivals are more athletic and upscale. So far in this review, I’ve criticized the MDX for some of its mostly digital shortcomings, but I have to admit that it’s still enjoyable to drive and very comfortable, no matter where you’re seated.
